I’m glad I was seen at Psychotherapy & Healing Associates. I feel better after talking about my situation. I feel lighter, less burdened. I was at ease after talking to my counselor. I was worried that I would be anxious. We discussed some coping mechanisms that I am practicing. 5 stars

Dr. Siyum and Hillary Winkleman are terrific practitioners. They have helped me through the journey of terminal illness and grief with the loss of my wonderful husband, my kids as they successfully launched their careers and life with their new partners. Their wisdom, guidance and support is exceptional. I highly recommend them to others navigating the twists and turns of their lives.

Really terrible experience with this practice. They told me they accepted my insurance, and now they're saying I owe for over a month of weekly sessions. Utterly disgusting practice. Do your job!!!!

Edit: YOU ARE NOT THE VICTIM! YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME AFTER THE FIRST SESSION. I TOLD YOU EXACTLY HOW TO BILL, AND YOU REFUSED! YOU COULD EASILY GET PAYMENT! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS RESPONSE. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! DO. YOUR. JOBS!

This review is related to Monica Oberg and her services/ability to be an affective therapist. Unfortunately, Monica was the only therapist we could find that was immediately available at the time for our son (which we later came to understand why).

Our son was leery of Monica the entire time and almost every visit would fight not to go. Some sessions he would interact and play because she had guns and swords in the room or other toys he really liked, but other visits he would hide behind the chair and not interact. In addition, she misdiagnosed him.

Over time with Monica, her demeanor also continued to decline (which wasn’t great to begin with). She was irritable, did not listen or hear what my son or I were discussing with her, was disheveled and not showered on a number of occasions. She also became dysregulated on a couple of occasions.

I’m a physician and work with many wonderful psychologists and therapists. Concerns were expressed with Monica’s therapy and recommendations. Colleagues provided evidence-based recommendations they thought could be helpful. On a couple of occasions, I said “I have some great feedback from my colleagues I’d like to chat about related to my son”, and Monica became dysregulated and said “I know what I’m doing! I don’t need recommendations!” (Monica is social work trained, not a PHD in psychology like many associates who have provided advice). As a provider, we should always be open to input, feedback and especially evidence-based recommendations for treatment.

Monica subsequently became dysregulated in front on my son, so we made the decision that day he would not return. He had been on the waiting list for another therapist, and we knew it would still take a couple of months to get him in. However, we felt this was better for him to wait for a new therapist than to be exposed to Monica again. My son now has a wonderful therapist who he loves to see and has been seeing her for over 6 months. It’s amazing to see the difference in him and his relationship with a great therapist.

Just had the worst experience with billing department person Nevada, who called me to tell my card is declined, which is impossible. So she kept repeating me to check the expiration date, little do i know she was trying to run the card i had in 2020, and just this year 2023 i filed new intake and new payment forms, why else are they there? You fill forms sign them and submit with UPDATED INFO. So while i kept not understanding why and which card declining , because she was not clear and talking over me , she kept escalating and started raising her voice at me like i am some dummy being extremely disrespectful to me. Just the worst 3 minutes of my day, during work day mind you!!! And when i said “ma’am you raising your voice at me and i do not appreciate it” she changed quickly, used card that was supposed to in the first place, said “Thank you, Byyyyeee” in that very nasty voice and hung up…

This is not the way you treat patients who TO START WITH ARE IN THIS CLINIC FOR MENTAL HELP!!! For gods sake..just very angry and very frustrated now with this experience. I will
Not cancel only because of my therapist and my psychiatrist, who are the sweetest and most helpful ladies, but office…i really wish to never talk again to this Nevada person. Never.

Needed to reschedule an appointment, messaged to reschedule, received no reply, then got charged $150 weeks later.

There is also no way to remove my credit card from my account which is not a great feeling, all things considered.

Extremely unprofessional.

The therapists are really wonderful but the company is a 1 star operation. For a year they let me rack up charges telling me I'd be able to make payments on the balance. Without warning one day they charged the full balance to my credit card. When I asked them why they did that, they told me I signed something that gave them the right to auto charge me. Watch out for these guys.

I’ve been using PHA’s services over the last 5 years or so. I’ve seen two therapists here, and see Kim Schmidt for my medication management. I have had nothing but good experiences with them.
