I was harassed by a store employee 3 times in less than 5 minutes while trying to use the self checkout. First to ask whether I was using the stack of baskets on the stand (silly question, but fine), then to ask whether I was taking an item that was set to the side while I was trying to pay (please wait until I’m done, I was just trying to organize my purchases) and finally when I was trying to put my my purchases in my bag, asking whether I was done with the machine yet. It was a non-busy time and there were other machines available. Please advise your staff to back off and respect customer’s space. If they need help, they’ll ask (or they wouldn’t be using self checkout).

Pharmacy unable to find inventory in a different location.
I requested my refill online on 12/18/24 and two days later (Friday) I dropped by to pick it up late in the day. To my surprise I was told by Clement that they did not have my medication in their inventory and asked me to come back on Monday or I could try to reach out to other pharmacies to check for their inventory. I found this unacceptable as a) I did not receive a message to let me know of their shortage so I could at least find another source with still time on my side b) The pharmacy could not/would not find an alternate source. I had to go to different locations until I found one that was able to refill my medication (this will be another bad review for that particular location but outside the scope here). I don't know why Shoppers can't do this if almost any other retailer can find inventory in different locations online. Very disappointing and makes me look for another drugstore for the new year.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this pharmacy. First, I waited 10 minutes in line, only to find out that my faxed prescription had been sitting ignored in a tray for two hours. After another 10 minutes of checking and taking down my information, they asked me to return in an hour. When I came back, I had to wait another 10 minutes in the pickup line, only to be told they didn’t even have my prescription in stock! If you value your time and expect reliable service, avoid this pharmacy at all costs.

Every time I come to pick up a prescription or to refill it, it's not ready when it's supposed to. Today was the last straw: I called earlier today (8 am) asking them if they could expedite the refill (since they said it may take up to two days, but it's an as-needed medication and I had to take the last pill earlier today and would probably need another one), and they said there was no issue and that I could go at noon to pick it up. Well, I went at 5 pm, and the pharmacist told me they had no record of that ever happening. I don't know her name, but she's the evening pharmacist and always tries to help; she did what she could and had my prescription ready at 8 pm (and I wasn't the only one she was helping with a similar issue). The pharmacy is always running behind on prescriptions because they are truly disorganized.

This is the worst Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto imo. I previously had a few frustrating experiences with the pharmacy, but I didn’t let it bother me too much because I understand that they have a lot of orders to fill. But I have the worst experience in returning items for OTC products. It’s not about the fact that they didn’t let me return the products because I understand that it was due to their policies for returning online items or opened items even if not used. It’s actually the terrible customer service that I will never purchase another single item from this store. I don’t understand why it is necessary for the staff to raise their voice or cut me off mid-sentence right from the start, or even talk between each other in Tagalog, instead of calmly listening to me first and then explaining the issue in English. Please do your job in a way that would effectively achieve the same result without making someone upset.

The pharmacy part of the store has very poor customer service, unfortunately. When a customer asks a question, they get so exasperated and can't get rid of you fast enough. Not helpful at all. I just wonder what exactly their job description includes. Clearly, not helping customers.

I used my own bag to carry items. I was told that wasn't possible, ok, I understand the thought process so I used the basket I was offered. It's my fault, end of story you will say. Unfortunately no, I was treated like a thief from then on. I was followed around the store by security and several staff members. They were just doing their job right? I'm just showing them some appreciation here.

I wish I could give 0 stars to this store! Worst pharmacy experience. I went there do get a very generic medicine on prescription and they asked me to come back in 2 days. When I went back they said that there is a shortage from government and it will be ready tomorrow.

When I went back again, they said it’s not ready yet and it will be ready tomorrow. I was already frustrated at this point. When I went back they said it’s not available and again come back tomorrow. I was really frustrated and asked them to give my prescription back. They said they aren’t allowed to do that and gave me a card and said go to another pharmacy and ask them to transfer it.

I asked them the name of my medication, and they said just go and ask other pharmacy. I was like what should I ask them for, then at last they gave me a duplicate copy of my prescription.

When I went to another pharmacy they were laughing about how this Shoppers said it’s difficult to arrange this medication as it was easily available. They brought it to the counter in less than a minute but again to get my prescription transferred I had to call them 10 times from 5 different phones.

This place really needs to do something about it pharmacy. I am never going to visit any Shoppers drug mart location again for any medication in my life.
