I am extremely hurt after being a member of the Park House, now Park Maitland South family for two years. This may be long.

We had our oldest in and put our 2 year old on the waiting list. We were told repeatedly that we were first on the list and priority as it is a family member. We got the call that they had space for our youngest! Not even 20 minutes later we were told "sorry we now no longer have the space" Come to find out they accepted 3 new families for the school year and another that week. It didn't matter we were on the list since February (it's now September).

It was a difficult decision but after small moments and this one big incident of feeling disrespected and, frankly not valued, we pulled our oldest out. After pulling my son out we have been charged $500 in September from a check from FEBRUARY! We are small business owners and this came out of our business account with no warning AFTER we pulled our son from the school. Christy, unfortunately, is the common denominator here. Her own staff has told me horror stories and I feel so badly for teachers that work there that also had to pull their children because of Christy's behavior, attitude, and disrespect. For a school with this price tag, it is not worth the money spent. I will say the teachers are AMAZING and that is who we miss the most!

We love Parke House! Our daughter is so loved and well cared for, they treat her like family. She is learning so much and I couldn’t be happier with her teachers each year. This was the absolute best decision for us, I can’t recommend them enough.

I have had 4 children go through PHA and now my youngest is in Kindergarten - my kids all loved Parkehouse! Many of the teachers have been there for more than a decade sending their own children there - that tells you all! My older kids are in college now - they were well prepared for academic achievement and personal developement - and even went back to work at PHA. I would recommend Prakehouse to anybody who wants a loving and safe environment for their children going through these really precious years for their childhood. All thumbs up!

We love Parke House Academy. The teachers and staff are so welcoming. We visited multiple schools before picking Parke House and many of them sent our daughter running for the door. But visiting Parke House she was instantly all smiles and excited to be there. She’s in Ms. Brumley’s 2 year old class and has grown so much socially and developmentally in just the few months she’s been attending. She jumps out of bed every morning excited to go to school!

Being a teacher and a parent at this school, I get to see both sides of the coin. The family feeling at PHA is evident when you walk through the door and small class sizes ensure your child will will receive a more personalized education. The teachers are encouraged to do as many hands on activities as possible with the curriculum to reach a variety of learning styles. This makes learning more enjoyable...for the student and the teacher! 🙂
I have one child go from pre-K through 5th grade and another still attending. My son was well prepared for middle school and left with a well-rounded education, entering into honors classes. All of that is a nod to the awesome teachers at PHA!

Our 3 year old daughter is in the toddler program and loves it!! She has learned so much since she started. The staff at Parke House Academy so friendly, and reinforce good behavior/social skills in a positive, structured learning environment. Definitely the best preschool around!

All 3 of our kids started at PHA in preschool and 2/3 children have graduated from the 5th grade as of this year, their baby brother is still in 1st grade. Regardless of location, resources, or any other factor I can think of, there is no other educational environment I would want for my children’s critical foundation for learning. PHA is the best kept secret in Winter Park, and I only say ‘secret’ because the classes are still small enough that each of my children have had a truly private school education with an enormous amount of 1-1 time and personalized instruction with each of their teachers and teacher assistants. I feel like they’ve each been given the golden ticket and academic advantage on their school journey, and I only wish they could stay through 12th grade.

My children are five years apart so we have been at PHA for 8 years and counting. This is an amazing school that provides not only the finest educational environment but also supports STEAM learning and social/emotional development. We are proud to be Parke House Jaguars.
