It's rare I feel the need to post a negative review of a local business, but after a full year of bad experiences, I feel compelled to warn others about this particular pharmacy.
Let me begin by saying the ONLY reason I used this pharmacy is because they stocked a specific brand of generic medication I required. From my very first visit, I was very clear with them that I could not take any other brand. Each time I came to pick up a prescription, the smirking, aloof, employees behind the counter would be visibly annoyed when asked to confirm it was filled with the required brand. Twice, it was filled with the wrong brand causing me to wait or return later to pick up the corrected RX.
Each time these problems happened; I implored them to make notes in their own systems. Flag my account to prevent this from happening again. (I’m really not asking for much here: If you don’t have the product, don’t’ fill it and tell me it’s ready!) After multiple assurances from employees and managers, I mistakenly assumed it wouldn’t happen again. Wrong.
On a third occasion I had a family member pick up the prescription for me and was shocked to find that they again sold me the wrong medication. I escalated the matter to the manager/owner who blamed the problem on supply chain problems. I again implored her to find Some way to flag my account to prevent this from ever happening again. 6 months later, same thing happened a fourth time! No refund possible. You’re just stuck with it. Too bad. Truly unbelievable.
This pharmacy is clearly incapable of paying attention to their OWN notes in their OWN systems regarding requirements for your prescriptions. Their repeated errors suggest the potential for profound and potentially dangerous errors.
I can understand the reasons for the first mistake. I can understand supply chain problems. However, when you continue to make the same mistake three more times after the customer has taken valuable time to complain, repeat occurrences are unforgivable.
Worse yet, the manager owner, with whom I’ve had multiple calls and conversations, is impatient, arrogant, rude, argumentative, defensive and unapologetic. She blames everyone and everything but her own ability to manage this business. On my last call with her, she literally hung up on me after I (reasonably) questioned the string of excuses she was giving.
Pharmacies have ONE JOB: To fill your prescription accurately. That’s it. This pharmacy can’t do that.
As a business owner myself, I can spot a poorly-managed business a mile away. This is one of them.
My review will no doubt be followed by a list of excuses by this same “owner.”
