All of the caseworkers and administrator are rude. They never answer the phones you have to call MULTIPLE TIMES just to speak to them. It’s ridiculous. Inspections need to be more organized and scheduled at a certain time. If I’m scheduled at certain time then be there at that time that I was scheduled. No one shouldn’t have to wait on someone damn near all day just to come people have kids and some people can’t take off of work. Place is horrible.

There's no problem with the housing authority itself. I wish they had more people on phone lines though. But my problem is in the rent increases lately. The last two years.

The problem is that because of this coming years increase, I have to move from a unit that I've lived in for 15 years now. That's not the local housing's fault. This is the owners and federal government fault. What use is this, if it doesn't help a 73-year-old person like me, from becoming homeless. Now I have two months to try and find another place within the 1,800 dollar price range, or become homeless at 73 years old.

Housing here placed an Alzheimer's patient that becomes violent in the same apartment with a patient who has PTSD from violence. When it was pointed out that this was unsafe for both parties the case workers just suggested that my mother quit the program and return to living on the streets. When reasonable accommodations were requested for my mother's disability, the case workers claimed they don't have to follow the laws outlined by the ADA due to them not being given extra funding. Terrible everything. If you are in need of help, remember to send grievances to higher sources, HUD, and organizations that enforce the ADA and VAWA.

My only complaint at this time is the inspection time window period.... If I have to sit and wait for inspector to come out to inspect property between 8am-12:30 noon, that's Ludacris... What about ppl with kids that attend school. My daughter school starts at 9am so if we home waiting for inspector she's already marked tardy from school. The housing authority needs to start providing excused absences just like the doctor office does. Please provide me with an excused absence slip. Smh ... It's sad that they don't take in consideration of school hours during inspection times. Sucks!

They are overworked which causes them to hardly ever answer the phone and tend to cases as they should. The case workers do everything in their power to cover themselves, but don’t support the clients they serve well at all. We are not all just sitting back on our behinds, we have lives and things by a to do as well. We are not just numbers. We should be treated with much more respect. Receiving government assistance or not!
