Please note despite the description this hotel does NOT have a pool. The description I am referencing is from Google Maps - please see photo.

Lobby is beautiful. Hotel front desk staff was polite. Great location. Free parking. Breakfast not included but they said kids eat free with paid adult.

Rooms are a bit small but fine for a night. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms leave much to be desired. The shower in our room was peeling and looked old/gross. We felt it was clean but looked old.

I would suggest travelers wait until the remodel is completed to stay here.

I'll start with I arrived early and they were nice enough to check me in, but that's where the positive stopped. They put us in a queen room instead of a king with no notice. The beds were way too soft to be comfortable. The bathroom was subpar, it was not just pealing and cracked but had some sort of mildew or mold growing. The toilet either barely flushed or wouldn't stop flushing. The light for the toilet section of the bathroom was also all but out. Dinner says they serve until 10 pm but only if you want to eat at the bar or take the food back to your room. If you do order for your room you'll be picking it up as they do not offer room service. This is the worst holiday inn I've stayed at so far.

Noisy rooms where we could easily here the conversations in the next room. Black mold in shower. Nice comfortable beds. Couldn't get the Keurig coffee maker in room to work after 6 tries. No complimentary coffee in lobby. $15 buffet breakfast wasn't worth the price but no other places nearby that you could walk to on a Saturday morning before 8 or 9am. Looks like they are remodeling the place as the lobby and bar area looked nice. Last time we will stay here.

We stayed a night recently and was very disappointed. The actual hotel was supposed to be open for dinner and drinks up until 11pm and I don’t think it ever opened. The front desk had shared it would be. We had to leave for drink a little after 8, because it was shut down.

The bathroom had pieces of the bathtub missing, the sink didn’t drain, and it just felt gross.

The room had a mildew smell and we stepped on a bug walking into the hallway. For $250 a night, I expected much more. That’s not worth that price at all.

I am appalled by my recent stay at the Holiday Inn in Lafayette, Indiana. The room was beyond filthy, reeking of a nauseating combination of cheese and mildew. The sheets were clearly not changed, and the overall state of the room was unacceptable for any standard of cleanliness.

When I brought this to the attention of the front desk manager, Trey, his response was nothing short of arrogant and dismissive. His refusal to accommodate my request for a clean room or a room change is a testament to the hotel's complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

To add insult to injury, the hotel had egregiously inflated their rates, taking advantage of families moving students into Purdue. This is predatory pricing at its worst.

I witnessed multiple other guests complaining about similar issues, from missing towels to incorrect room accommodations. It's clear that this hotel has serious management and cleanliness problems.

I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to reconsider. This is not a place where you will find a clean, comfortable, or respectful experience. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

(My name is a pseudonym, FYI.) During my summary exclusion from Purdue residences, in which I had to stay at hotels for nights, I attempted to check into this hotel (turned out it only allows people 21 or over, and I'm 18). When I was exiting the public bathroom, the front desk receptionist approached and told me to be quiet. I'm autistic and an autistic symptom is different sensory tolerance, so I tend to speak loudly without hearing my voice as that.

After I was rejected and went to sit down on a bench in the lobby, the receptionist ordered me to leave the hotel for being too loud. When I went back as my father on the phone told me and disclosed that I was only being unintentional, the receptionist told me I had used up my only chance and threatened to call the police on me if I didn't leave.

I can't remember if I told him about my autism. I do remember I didn't tell about my circumstances of needing a place to stay at 2 AM. Nevertheless, his words and how this reflected how I got this summary exclusion (it involved being unintentionally loud too) were enough to make me sob as I left and was forced to stay near the municipal building out in the open, in the middle of the night, for one hour. At least I didn't get abducted.

Really rude of the front desk.
