I have lived in my townhomes for 7 years now and am being told indeed to move because my daughter no longer lives with me. I have asked for help locating places that take section 8 and am just given web sites. I thought our workers were to be there to help and guide us. And what happened to being able to going into the office and getting a printed out list of places. I have specific things I need and no one will help.

A fraud and uses its position and power to not only make people homeless but also illegally talk about people's conditions. I brought these problems to the directors attention and Tony did nothing but make the problem worse and made it impossible to talk with them to fix anything. I have had to get Senator Pork and Representative Hanson involved because of the illegal action that have lead me to be homeless because the CDA went against court orders and I lost my voucher because of it

USE AS A LAST RESORT
We have lived here for quite awhile and the community isn't bad...having said that, Lynn, who is a property manager for CDA, will try everything in her power to make your life miserable. Instead of checking on maintenance, pest control, security, etc...she focuses more on if residents use the parking lot or if kids use chalk in certain places. She will threaten eviction any chance she sees fit. I say this because as someone who has a family, it's disgusting that someone abuses authority like this when it comes to people's homes...please go elsewhere...or at least find out if she will be your property manager.

I recently encountered a significant issue with my stove, cooker, and a few other essential household items needing emergency maintenance. Unfortunately, my experience seeking help was far from satisfactory. The lack of a live response when calling for assistance added to the frustration and urgency of the situation. It's critical for maintenance services to be responsive and accessible, especially in emergency scenarios. The absence of a prompt and human touch in handling such requests can significantly impact one's living situation and overall satisfaction. I strongly urge the management to consider hiring more maintenance personnel to ensure timely responses to urgent needs and to implement a system that allows residents to speak directly with a live person. This change would not only improve efficiency but also greatly enhance the resident experience by adding a layer of understanding and reassurance that is currently missing. A more responsive and empathetic approach to maintenance requests is essential for fostering a positive and supportive living environment

So far I give them a 1 star. They claimed that they sent out my paperwork two times but never received anything.

The experience goes….requested an in office meeting by them. I arrived for said meeting time they suggested 10:30 and waited 25 minutes for the person I was meeting with to show up. Wasted my time/miles to drive to the office. I’d recommend only virtual meetings with these folks.

Unfortunately, my interactions with the Dakota County CDA have been deeply distressing and concerning. Despite an active protection order shielding my family from an abuser, the agency chose to engage with the individual and jeopardized our safety. They disregarded the safeguards offered by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and acted on false allegations, leading to the termination of our housing. Moreover, their actions against me, a Safe at Home program participant, were retaliatory. They falsely claimed I wasn't residing in the home due to my use of a PO Box at the secretary of state’s office, a statutory requirement, creating a pretext to endanger our housing stability. Their refusal to acknowledge the protections offered by VAWA and the Safe at Home program not only put myself and my children at risk but also demonstrated a lack of consideration for the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in need."

They are very money hungry the place I stay is infested with mice because of the trifling neighbors and wooded area it’s old appliances that barely work .. it’s horrible here you can’t drink the water or you’ll be sick and the rising of rent and bills are extremely high. Shower water is horrible for the skin.
Of course Now tenants are paying maintenance fees etc Cda shame on them.
