Mr poke was awesome he the only that answer the phone I been trying to contact someone since July no luck he explained to me how everything worked and what it was gave me clarity and didn’t have an attitude or feel anyway about all the questions I ones feel better but don’t I really thought I was moving like asap but he gave me a relief and made things clear how the process goes thank you Mr Kwame appreciate it they only get 5 stars for Mr kwame

It's difficult to reach this department, as they won't answer the phone, the email addresses provided don’t work, and there's no assistance available for completing documentation they require at a set time. Additionally, it's not possible to visit the property without an "appointment," which can only be scheduled by them. However, it's impossible to schedule an appointment if no one is answering the phone. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and assistance from this department makes it challenging to obtain the help they are supposed to provide.

On August 22, I had pleasure of speaking with Mr. Kwame Poke. He was very informative and thorough with the following up process. He gave me so much hope and encouragement about my decision to port. I will use Mr. Poke as an example to my kids of someone who is unselfish, giving and ready with a can-do spirit. Florida laws in housing needs to be change and enforce to this big cooperation of apartments complex which only care about making as much money as possible and do not care for people or families. First of all, if there is only one income on a single parent you should be able to rent a one bedroom if the other occupants are under 18. Kids could be accommodated in the living room if that is what it takes not to be homeless. Revise those occupat laws to avoid families to be homeless. Rent shoul not be so expensive so people can’t afford it. Stop in favor of all this big corporations and be more for the working people and families.

I was trying to do a portability and was having issues with another housing authority in Orlando so I called Orange County to see what could be done and Mr.Poke assisted me and provided me with knowledgeable information to help me understand more and I greatly appreciate him for that.

First off, let me start by saying THEY ARE NEVER IN THE OFFICE! I’ve been on this waiting list for 4 years and this year of 2024 and last year I received my packet. I sent the packet last year and I didn’t hear from anyone. Then I received one this year and I’m confused on why they will not answer the dang phone. You can’t go up there because security act as if you’re a criminal. If this is a “government office” then professionalism should be part of the qualifications when working for this department. SOMEONE HAS TO DO SOMETHING ANOUT THE WORKERS AMD HELP IN THIS OFFICE!!!
