This place is under new ownership. The employees answering the phone are rude and not really even trying to help the patient. BCBS is no longer covered and they didn't bother to tell anyone. I had to call my insurer to find out it was being billed under a different company name that was no longer in network. Salem said they tried to get authorization 13 times, but never bothered to call me once to let me know that my refills would not be filled.
Keith called and tried very hard to remedy the situation, by transferring me to a sister pharmacy that eventually was able to get my Rx handled. I appreciate the effort he made as well as Old Nat pharmacy for working hard to get my needs met and dealing with my ongoing insurance battle and unresponsive doctor's office.

Find another pharmacy..unless your doctors office won’t do a PA when your insurance changes, then your STUCK ..this pharmacy look over a week to reach out for my husbands VERY expensive weekly diabetes medication’s to be filled after getting it sorted out four days during the first week alone, They finally said it would go out on Monday, but NO UPDATES, by Wednesday I found the medication sitting unrefrigerated on the side of my front door!! After reaching out to the pharmacy to see why there COMMUNICATION, no directions given no indication the medication was actually shipped. No idea how the medication was shipped or when to expect it, no TEXT/call/email, the pharmacist assured me that it “SHOULD” be OKAY, after speaking to the new representative, who said she worked for another company and said it would be okay she thought! After doing my research, I reached out to the rx manufacturer, who was an amazing advocate for me and agreed, The medication should not be used due to temp issues, after getting the FULL run around by Salem pharmacy, who tried to blame me, The representative from the NOVO called & spoke with the pharmacist, basically demanded that they replaced my medication because they failed to handle it properly/safely per the recommendations ! after lots of resistance the company agreed they would ship out new meds and require a signature upon arrival so that it was handled properly ! So, thank you Novo for helping keep us all SAFE and NO THANK YOU SALEM, and yes customer service matters, educating your staff and NEW clients on what to expect is essential in your line of work! Please do better for all of us!!

5 stars just isn’t enough. Everyone who works in this building is so welcoming. They care about their customers on a personal level & do everything they can to accommodate their needs. Thank you Salem Pharmacy for everything y’all have done for me this past year! I wouldn’t have been able to get through my pregnancy without your staff. I couldn’t be more thankful. You will not be disappointed going to Salem Pharmacy. 11/10 !!!

Love this pharmacy. They are competent, always friendly, and actually know and care about their customers. I would recommend them to everyone. KEY Patel is great. All employees are wonderful. It is so good to be able to have a pharmacy you can trust.

My family and I have used Salem Pharmacy on a number of occasions over the last 7 months. They are always professional and courteous. They have always had on hand the correct medication prescribed for us and have it prepared in a timely manner. The larger pharmacies both independent or chain pharmacies always take hours to prepare or are out of what have needed. Not Salem. We highly recommended them.

When a corporate pharmacy was unable to get my prescription approved through my insurance, my doctor insisted I try Salem Pharmacy. I’m so glad that she did. Not only did they get my prescription approved, they did so at a great price! Every exchange I’ve had with the business and its employees has been well above expectations. If you’re worried about making a switch, take this as a heartfelt push to make the jump. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a pharmacy like this one before.
