My daughter recently had her birthday party there. She and her friends had a wonderful time . I highly recommend them for a children’s birthday party! More detailed review below for anyone like me who likes details and things to keep in mind :

1) Staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped set up and helped with take down. (We had a lot of decorations, so their assistance helped make it go faster). Also, When I wanted a spot on the floor cleaned better , they mopped it with no issue.

2) Nice personal touch . They had my daughter’s name on the screen , which we could see for the entire skating time. They also offered to play our special music playlist over the speaker when they learned about her party theme. These kinds of details are very thoughtful and added to the experience.

3) They have a good variety of food options but it was on pricier side , and some items were not as much a hit for our party.

4) My only rough patch was with the billing at the very end and how I was spoken to when we were resolving the conflict. The information I had been given in writing regarding if parents could go on ice and not be counted as “party guests” differed from what I was told at checkout . Even the contract was vague as well. They did end up writing off the extra charges for adults who used skates , which was principled , fair and appreciated.

5) Despite the billing issues , I have to commend Jess, the staff member who helped me with planning the event from day one. We actually never met in person but she was detailed , personable and quick to respond to all emails. Really great customer service from her.

6) VERY FRIENDLY FOR BEGINNER SKATERS!the skating rink is smaller and the parties are private, which is great for a kid’s part. They also have 10 skating aids that you can use when getting comfortable, which helped a lot (the other skating rinks nearby did not offer aids or private skating for entire party ). Also, the team helping the kids on ice were great teachers, really encouraging and very helpful. I paid for 30 minutes of teaching but noticed that even after the time ended, one of the staff members went back to put on skates to help a little kid. He didn’t have to but just did it on his own. The team just had a great vibe all around and it made for a positive experience.

7) Spacious party room with lots of natural lighting and a private bathroom for guests. I shared photos of what we were able to do. We had a little under 20 kids and many parents and everyone fit in there comfortably.

Overall, a very good experience! If you are interested in Loudoun Ice for a birthday party, I say go for it. My kiddos enjoyed it so much that now they want to take skating lessons.

The check-in process appeared somewhat disorganized. However, the staff was very helpful and patient in teaching children how to skate. It would have been nice if the management had been more welcoming.

Been to two open skates so far and had a terrific experience. My three year old daughter especially enjoys it there. She really enjoys skating with the training aid (so does my Lower back), I know some places refuse to use them because some think you progress faster without it but at her age having fun and building confidence is our main goal. The smaller rink even helps with my confidence. It wasn’t crowded at all today, only two other people in the ice with us! Overall, everything was great. The staff was really nice, they saw my daughters shirt with frozen characters and played some songs from the movie for her. We’ll definitely be back.

We had our son’s birthday party here and it was fantastic! From Gabi who patiently helped me plan the event to the extremely helpful and kind staff the day of (Stephen, Eian, and Ilya) I highly recommend this place. We had the ice rink to ourselves for the party, they helped the kids and adults with skates and getting on the ice. We did a combo party where half the ice was broomball so that everyone was able to enjoy. The polar bear mascot came out and skated with the kids. Stephen, Eian, and Ilya decorated and set up the party room for us and it was amazing, they even helped to serve food, drinks and cake to the kids and were very friendly to all guests. The ice rink was clean and it's a nice location.

Super happy with our experience at Loudoun Ice. Our son is just starting his transition to goalie and the instruction from Coach Ian and the rest of the team has been outstanding. The coaches also do an excellent job of having fun with the kids which might be more important than anything. Highly recommend!!

It's great! Most of the ice rinks have only one hour for public ice skating but they offer 2 hours! For us beginners they have some chairs available for support and it was really appreciated!
The plaza where they are located still has a lot of empty locals so it's hard to find the place right away. Maybe a larger shiny sign outside will be helpful.

This place is small. Smaller than I had expected. I only went for an open skate session (Prices on the web site would be useful?!) They let kids take chairs on the ice so they can balance. The kids had fun but on a holiday Monday it was crowded. They have a limited number of ice skates for rent and they have mainly hockey skates. If you need a specific size (big or small) it would be best to take your own skates. Maybe it would be better for specialised training? The staff were very nice.

I took my husband there as a surprise for his birthday. We had a great time! It isn't gigantic or anything but its great if you are learning or just want to go for a fun afternoon. Its a small run business that's laid back and offers lessons. We can't wait to go again! We both loved it!
